Aipom is a playful and agile Normal-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. Known as the Long Tail Pokémon, Aipom's most distinctive feature is its powerful, hand-like tail that it uses with remarkable dexterity. This tail is so versatile that Aipom can use it to pluck fruits, manipulate objects, and even anchor itself to tree branches while sleeping. Interestingly, Aipom's tail is often more adept than its actual hands, which have become rather clumsy over time due to the frequent use of its tail.

Aipom is primarily arboreal, living high among the treetops of various forest types, including tropical, temperate, and even boreal forests. It uses its tail for balance as it swings from branch to branch with impressive agility. In the Alola region, Aipom has developed a particular fondness for Bounsweet, often becoming excited and pouncing when it spots this favorite food.
